- Hi,
-
- I can't talk for UMN, but at OSU we are using the Trumpet Winsock and are
- reasonably happy with it so far. I haven't experienced any GPF's at all. One
- thing to remember is that all of Trumpets SLIP services are handled internally
- so you don't have to load a SLIP packet driver in your autoexec or load winpkt.
-
- Here is my login.cmd:
-
- output atz\13
- input 10 OK\n
- output atd Your Number Here \13
- input 30 CONNECT
- wait 30 dsr
- output \13
- input 30 Username:
- output mbourne\13
- input 30 Password:
- password Enter your password
- output \p\13
- input 30 >
- output slip\13
- input 30 Your IP address is
- address 30
- input 30 \n
- display \n
- display Connected. Your IP address is \i.\n
-
-
- One thing that I found with Mosaic is that its very important to copy the
- mosaic.ini file into your Windows directory, if you change the copy thats in
- the directory with Mosaic nothing changes.
-
- Hope this helps,

-
- I'm running FTP's PC/TCP version 2.2 under regular Windows 3.1 and I don't
- have a file called wsocket.dll but I do have one called winsock.dll.
- Winsock.dll is the winsock and I don't know what wsocket.dll is.
- Also, you don't winsock.dll to telnet or ftp.
